1. What stages of pregnancy does the journal cover?
The journal guides you from early pregnancy through birth, with prompts that help you document milestones, appointments, reflections, celebrations, and your baby’s arrival.
2. Is the journal suitable for all families?
Yes. The wording does not reference a partner, husband, wife, or specific family structure. This makes it suitable for single parents, rainbow families, and traditional families.
3. Are the updates weekly or monthly?
The journal is designed around monthly updates. This keeps things simple for time-poor mums to be and avoids overwhelm. Each month includes a space for a bump photo and simple prompts to capture the meaningful moments.
4. What week does the journal start from?
The journal begins with Month 1-2, which covers weeks 1-8. From there, it follows a monthly format all the way through to your baby’s arrival.
5. When does the journal end?
The final section is Bringing Baby Home. From there, you can enjoy our Baby Memory Books to continue documenting your little one’s story from newborn to age five.
6. Does the journal include space for photos?
Yes. The layouts include open spaces for photos, ultrasound images, and keepsakes, with no fixed borders so you can add photos in a variety of sizes.
7. Does the journal come with a box?
Every journal comes in a kraft packaging box to protect it during delivery. Many families also choose to keep the journal stored in the box for safekeeping.
8. Can I add extra pages?
Unfortunately, no. The spiral binding is fixed, so pages cannot be added. However, there are blank pages at the end for extra photos, notes, or memories.
9. Can I start the journal if I’m already partway through my pregnancy?
Absolutely. The simple layouts make it easy to fill in details retrospectively without feeling overwhelmed.
10. Where is the journal made?
Designed on the Sunshine Coast, Australia, and made with care by our trusted partners in China, who’ve worked alongside us since 2015.
11. What’s the best pen to use?
Any regular pen works perfectly - our 200gsm non-bleed, acid-free pages are designed to prevent smudging and bleeding.
12. How do I attach photos and ultrasound images?
Most people use a simple glue stick. You can also use photo sticky corners or washi tape if you prefer a more decorative look.
